"I love to explore the play between color, intimacy and beauty. I possess an idealistic sentimentalism that the world has attempted to dash away several times throughout my life but one place where my temperament can exist in peace is in my paintings. I am fascinated by the paradox of the human experience, which is unique and distinct to each one of us, yet shared because we all know what pain, joy, curiosity and amazement feel like. To be able to be myself and yet create visual expressions that someone else can relate to is what motivates me"
